Corrie thread for March/April
I found myself getting a bit annoyed at Becky's histrionics in last night's episode. Why does she need to be such a drama queen all the time? And now we're in for weeks of Becky whining "it's all my fault".
Another drama queen was Gail McIntyre. Completely unconvincing as the bereaved widow, she looks like she'd practiced her "woe is me" face in front of the mirror before unleashing it on the public. Tina is much more convincing.

Re: Corrie thread for March/April
I thought that actually, I thought I'd feel sorry for Becky, but she just goes about everything the wrong way and it can get annoying at times.
Agree about Gail and Tina as well, although it might be because Gail has been through it all before so many times that she's used to it

Re: Corrie thread for March/April
I got distracted during Corrie last night so I didn't see Gail tell Tina about the signature on the insurance form. I hope I just missed it and that Gail did tell her, because it's going to look bad if Tina finds out from someone else.
I thought Carla looked pretty when she was smiling at her potential new bloke, Janice's lodger. She's usually so hard-faced. Can't see that relationship working out, but who knows? She's had men with power and money, maybe a binman who can make her smile is just what she needs.
Also, I forgot that Nick is Janice's former stepson-in-law. When he called across the street to Leanne, I forgot that she was his ex-wife. You'd think they'd at least have a chat, but I don't recall any scenes between the two of them since Nick returned.
I haven't liked George right from the start, but I think I'm on his side at the moment. Peter really hasn't proved himself as a dad. Neither did George, of course, but at least he's trying now. Peter hasn't really tried at all.

Re: Corrie thread for March/April
I cant remember Leanne and Nick being married. My memory must be getting worse
Hmm, not sure about George at all, even if he's doing things for the right reason, he's going about it the wrong way. But I think he's out to make amends for himself not for Simon.

I agree Lou, George seems to tread all over people to get what he wants. I think he's had this whole scenario planned since he first knew about Peter's alcohol problem.

Re: Corrie thread for March/April
I really felt for Peter tonight. That police woman annoyed me with her 'kids cope better than you think', no 6 year old would cope with being on the streets of a strange town in the day, never mind at night.
I'm glad Peter said George could help with the search, just shows how much he's matured.

Re: Corrie thread for March/April
I thought Simon turning up on the doorstep was a bit of a stretch, at his age would he really know which trains to get (especially if 3 had been cancelled), then a bus, then walk home.
It's hard to feel sorry for Gail because she's brought it all on herself though lying. And I can understand Tina, because she doesn't know what we know.
Kevin and Molly - Yuk!

Aww poor Gail, she's just not the prison type. I wonder if she'll be mentioned in Parliament, like Deirdre was when she was imprisoned

Re: Corrie thread for March/April
So sorry for Tyrone, Auntie Pam is right. Molly is a nasty piece of work now, not the nice girl she used to be. I was glad that Pam told her straight even if she got a slap on the face for her trouble.
I wonder when all this will come out? I hope it's not for ages and that Molly has a boy because I'd love to see Kevin's reaction at his only son being raised by another man. Kevin has been so horrible, he obviously wants Molly to do all this alone so he gets the best of both worlds. He gets to keep his own family and play daddy to Molly's child when Sal's not looking.

Re: Corrie thread for March/April
What is the matter with Gail's sons? They're horrible boys and their sister isn't much better. I thought Nick was an improvement on David but he's just as self-centred. And where is Gail's beloved dad while all this is going on? There was a mention of flu a few weeks ago but you'd surely have to be dying to stay away from your daughter when she's in so much trouble.

Re: Corrie thread for March/April
I forgot about Ted, but yes you're right, you'd think they'd have mentioned him.
Nick used to be nice, but he's turned, too much of David rubbed off on him. Although at least David seems to care about his mum, a totally stupid way of going about things, but lest he cares.
Thank goodness the mad cowboy has gone, Eileen is so much better off without him.

Re: Corrie thread for March/April
I've missed a few bits lately. I know Sophie and whatshername kissed, did whatshername then reject Sophie and run off?
The storyline involving Audrey, Rita and the escort (my memory for names is bad tonight) was just plain daft.

Re: Corrie thread for March/April
You just know Jason is gonna end up worse off for letting Kirk use his photo
I'm glad Molly had the decency to look ashamed when Tyrone was so happy about seeing 'his son' on the screen.

Re: Corrie thread for March/April
I don't think I'm going to bother catching up with all the episodes I missed, if it's mainly about Sophie now being a lesbian, or Molly and Kevin's so-called love affair.

Re: Corrie thread for March/April
I missed Monday's, supposedly there was a decent car crash with Molly and Tyrone, but you're right Sally, the rest is not worth catching up on. It's gone downhill quite dramatically lately.
